High quality electric kettles with a bunch of additional features. These include: a computerized temperature control system with 4 keep warm temperature settings to keep the water warm while reducing steam, an energy-saving timer function, electric dispensing with a café drip mode, a water level gauge, nonstick interior and more.
If you're going for one of the more high-end models they come in a stainless steel exterior with a lining for insulation so water stays warm while in the kettle. These really are the kettle version of the famous Japanese toilet.

Attention: Zojirushi also sells electric kettles and other products that are not made in Japan and are most likely made in China (PRC). So always be sure to check the origin of the product.
The electric kettles are made in Japan [1]. However, to what degree or the where any of the raw materials come from is currently unknown.

USA & Canada:
For the continental USA, they sell electric kettles directly from their webshop with free standard shipping. It is clearly indicated on the product page if it's made in Japan.
Zojirushi also provides a link to a list of their distributors in both the USA and Canada.
International:
Zojirushi doesn't have any official online stores that we know of outside the USA, so you're best chance is to search for local distributors. We do link to the Zojirushi website where you can take a look at their different models and filter them on whether or not they're made in Japan under the "features"-tab.
Keep in mind though that they might not be available with voltages or plugs compatible with your location.
