The Classic T-shirt Company

Description

Founded by Paul and Olga Garibian, the Classic T-shirt company was built to revolutionize the most basic item in everyone’s wardrobe: the T-shirt. They wanted to redefine what a simple shirt can be: not a disposable piece of cloth you throw on, but a valued piece of your wardrobe. This mission is evident in every step of their manufacturing process. They source organic cotton from fair-trade farms in India, ensuring not only fair compensation for the workers, but also a clean environment for current and future generations. The yarn is then shipped to the USA, where the rest of the manufacturing process takes place in a state of the art factory located in California. This includes knitting, dyeing, cutting, sewing, quality control and finally packaging (using recycled, recyclable cardboard). Here too great attention is paid to fair working conditions and sustainability, especially during the dyeing process, a procedure that’s often uses harmful chemicals that are released into the environment. This all comes together in a T-shirt that’s not only sustainably made, but of high quality as well and should last you a long time. To top this off they pledge to give 1% of their time, profits, and equity to the following causes: safe water, tree planting, or ocean cleanup.

They offer long- and short sleeved shirts for both men and women, in a variety of colours, from sizes S to XXXXL.
