Leatherman was founded in 1983 by Tim Leatherman and ever since then has produced its famous multi-tools in their factory in Portland where it employs over 500 workers. It is one of those companies that has The American Dream written all over it. Built from the ground up by the founders through years of perseverance, passion and a determination to deliver quality. Tim Leatherman is still running the company to this day.
Apart from their multitools, they also have a small clothing line completely produced in the USA.

Points of Improvement
- As far as we can tell, they make all their tools in the USA, however they don't make it clear on their website where each product is made exactly, thus making it difficult to be sure whether you get a product that is actually made domestically (such as sheaths and other accessories).
Drawbacks
- They currently only ship to a select number of countries.
