Victoria is a Spanish shoe company founded in 1915 by a shoemaker who had the idea of creating a shoe named after his first love, his wife Victoria. It has been famous for its sneakers, which the company has been making since the 1950’s and grew significantly in popularity during the 70s and 80s.
To this day the company still manufactures most of their shoes in Spain, although they have been outsourcing some production to China (PRC). That aside, they have been focusing on making their shoes and company more sustainable. Their new office building and warehouse features enough solar panels to provide the building with its own energy, they use 100% recycled cardboard packaging, organic cotton grown in Spain and try to use natural ingredients for the rubber soles such as Hevea rubber and vegetable oils [1] [2].
